 Helen Keller grew up blind, she a had fever when she was a baby and she lost her sight and hearing.Helen did whatever she wanted as a child that is until her parents got a teacher for the blind and deaf her name was Annie Sullivan. annie decided to teach her what the things she touch meant. after Hellen learns annie takes her to the school for the blind and deaf Hellen liked to read the raised letter and braille books at the school . Helen grew up to be a fine lady, she attended collage. on october 19 1936 Annie Sullivan died Helen said a part of her heart died that day too . in 1938 helen was asked to visit world war 2 infantry that has been deafened and blinded. Helen grew old and weak, she returned to home. Every morning at 5 she got up to make breakfast and take a walk around her land, there was wires around the land so she could get home. on june 1 1968 she died.

this book is about megan maxwell. the daughter of a wealthy general store owner.

Megan and her brother were sitting in the attic watching it rain, Suddenly it starts flooding all over, Her dad runs home from work to get every one to the biggest hill in town. but Megan cant make it. She is swept away with the current on a bed mattress, Megan is saved from drowning by a old man, after regaining her senses she is in a cabin at a house where all the refuges are staying. she and some other people go to look for family and friends, she looks every where and even goes as far as climbing in a upside down house. finaly she finds her family and they start to rebuild the whole town.

the monitor and the merrimac

this book was about the two "iron clad" ships of the civil war

the first ship was the merrimac a confederate iron clad and had guns on both sides.

the second was the moniter and had 1 gun on a turret that swiveled and could shoot anywhere.

these ships were to fight like gladiators in an arena. in the end the moniter with less to shoot , won!.

This book was a great read!, The story about the phonograph, light bulb and the projector. 

he was semi-deaf. He wasnt always so smart, As a kid thomas asked alot of questions and he never went to school after age 7.  After working most of his childhood he bought a factory, Not the kind that produces things in mass quantities, His kind of factory was the kind that invented stuff, he invented as said before the Phonograph, Light bulb and the Projector, in his later years his original factory burned down but he still built a new one at 67 years of age. now tom was 84 years old. he knew he was dying and retired, news reporters didnt bother mr Edison, but Edison's wife told them that she would turn his bedroom light off when he died. In the morning of October 18, 1931, His light went out.

Old Yeller

This book is about a dog named Old yeller and a boy named Travis, And they live in the texas frontier. We start with his dad leaving for a cattle drive to Abilene, Kansas, With his dad gone Travis has to look after the corn crop and the cows, But most of all his mom and little brother. One day Travis finds a stray old "yeller" dog. His younger brother keeps him and names him "old yeller". The dog was a great help for Travis with keeping vermin away from the corn at night, One day they find that drought has brought rabies to wolfs,cows,dogs,bulls, many animals. They have a milking cow and a bull that has rabies so they shoot them and burn their bodies. one night they find their dog fighting a wolf that has rabies, Travis shoots the wolf but the dog gets bitten and contracts rabies, In the end Travis has to shoot the dog.

This book is about a boy name Will Page. Will Page is orphaned at a young age and goes to his aunt and uncle's house. His uncle refused to fight in the war and Will hates him for that. As Will gains more respect for the decision his uncle made. he gets a letter from a friend saying that he wanted him to live with them, Will makes a hard decision whether to stay at his aunt and uncle's or go and live with his friend. In the end Will decided to stay at his aunt's.

This book is about a young girl named Hannale.Hannale is a bobin girl at a mill in Roswell,Georgia. One day the yankee army comes and takes all the mill workers on a train to be sold as workers as mill hands,maids and farm workers. Hannale makes a plan to get back to Georgia. Hannale earns 3 dollars a month working as a maid, She saves it all for getting back home. After she gets 9 dollars she uses it do run buy a train ticket to Nashvile, from Nashvile she walks all the way to Georgia.

This is not all but some of this good book,it is very interesting.

This Story is about a girl name emma edmonds. emma was a canadian girl, she moved to flint Michigan.She cut her hair short and joined the union army under the name of Franklin Thompson as a nurse.Asked to go on a special mission for the union. she disguised herself as a slave and worked to build walls and quaker cannons (fake wooden cannons)she too notes and put them in her shoe and ran back to the headquarters.Days later she is asked again to go behind rebel lines this time as a irish peddler she found out about the plans and that a trader was actually a spy for the rebel army, relaying this after relaying this to McClellan she goes back to be a nurse.The next time she has to go spying she goes as a slave but as a woman.She finds that they are planning a attack and tells McClellan. after this she becomes sick and after the union declines leave she runs away Franklin Thopson in declared AWOL.After the war she goes to court to receive a veteran pension of 11 dollars a month.

This book is about a young boy named chris,Chris lives in the tennessee woods with his family.chris becomes a "spy" for the confederate army and tells his friend Silas about a wagon train and his brother was a wagon driver for the rebels, after telling Silas about this Silas leaves "to tell the confederates". After telling Silas Chris goes to see if his brother.he keeps asking every one he see if they know his brother but they all say no.He ends up falling asleep and waking up to a battle, he starts to run home when a confederate soldier calls out to him for help and after talking to him he finds out that his brother would still be in training.after getting come he finds out that Silas isnt a spy but was playing a trick on Chris.
